Risk Disclosure
Please read this before trading with real money, including results you see in PaperShieldAi.
Trading involves substantial risk
Trading futures, options, stocks, ETFs, forex and cryptocurrencies involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. You can lose more than you invest in leveraged products such as futures and options. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.
Hypothetical and simulated performance
Results shown in PaperShieldAi, including backtests, historical replays, paper-trading ledgers, rankings, the tournament counters and the sample figures on our website, are hypothetical.
These results are based on simulated or hypothetical performance results that have certain inherent limitations. Unlike the results shown in an actual performance record, these results do not represent actual trading. Also, because these trades have not actually been executed, these results may have under-or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated or hypothetical trading programs in general are also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to these being shown.
Simulated results also may not reflect commissions, fees, slippage, the effect of your own orders on prices, or the emotional pressure of trading real money.
AI-generated strategies
Strategies written by AI or by the random generator can contain errors, can behave differently from their plain-English description, and can be over-fitted to past data. A strategy that won a tournament or passed the historical replay gate can still lose money in the future. Review any strategy before trading it with real money.
Market data
Market data can be delayed (for example by 15 minutes on some plans), incomplete, interrupted or wrong. Historical data may contain gaps or adjustments. Decisions based on delayed or faulty data can lead to losses.
Live execution
When you connect a broker and turn on live trading, real orders are placed in your account. Internet outages, broker or exchange problems, API limits, software bugs and fast markets can cause orders to be delayed, rejected, partly filled, filled at worse prices, or not cancelled when expected. Risk limits and the kill switch reduce, but do not remove, these risks. Monitor your account and positions directly with your broker.
Not investment advice
PaperShieldAi is a software platform for testing trading strategies. It is not a broker, investment adviser or commodity trading advisor and does not provide personalised investment advice or recommendations. Past performance, real or simulated, does not guarantee future results. Consider talking to a licensed financial professional before trading.
